Meditation, at the Un pas pour Soi Centre, is a time to redirect our attention to our breathing and the psychological sensations of the present moment, whether they are painful or beneficial.
It also allows us to awaken our various senses to the elements of the present moment as they are perceived (sounds, thoughts, memories, ambient temperature, projects, feelings, body position...)
At Un pas pour Soi Centre, mindfulness meditation is practiced by centering the individual in the present moment. The person is guided to this state of mindfulness by bringing their attention back to the present moment and observing the sensations and thoughts that arise. Without a filter, one is encouraged to accept what comes without judgment (one does not decide if it is good or bad) and without expectation (one does not look for something specific).
